As Part Of our campaign we developed a board game. The objective of the game is to reach the tree in the middle by avoiding bad cards such as "You left your phone charging all night move back 2 places." It is aimed at senior pupils in primary school and the junior cycle pupils in post-primary school.
To promote our board game and campaign we decided that we are going to host a "Board-Game Off" / Coffee morning for 1st Years, 4th Years and 6th Years. We predict that approx. 150 people will attend this publicity event. This will also fund any promotional items that we will need. These include over 200 brochures we plan on distributing.

During stage one of the project we conducted a survey (similar to our poll) in 2 rural local primary schools (see the results here) due to the shocking results we decide to educate the younger generation on their Carbon Footprint & Energy Efficiency. To do this we are going to return to the 2 primary schools on a weekly basis and educate them on the extremely important topics.
We will also distribute our brochures throughout the visits. Towards the end of our visits to the schools we will bring our educational board-game to the schools and the pupils will finish their educational program with "The Green Team". |
